He has again been remanded in custody after a 13-year-old girl was found with stabbing injuries in November
A 15-year-old boy accused of attempted murder and possessing a knife after a girl aged 13 was found with stabbing injuries has again been remanded in custody.
The teenager, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared in the secure dock at Hull Crown Court.
His latest appearance came after the police reported that the girl was discovered with wounds to her neck, abdomen, chest and back near the A63 in Hessle at about 6.50am on Friday, November 1. She was later said to be in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
Prosecutor Claire Holmes told the court that important evidence was still due to be served in the case but that she was hopeful that this would be done soon. "There is medical and forensic evidence that needs to be served," said Miss Holmes.
"There are further interviews that are due to take place. At the moment, this is the only defendant that has been charged."
The case was adjourned for a further case management hearing and a possible trial. The tiny, dark-haired boy was wearing a dark hooded top and he was flanked by two women sitting close to him to help him with the proceedings. There was also a male dock custody officer.
The teenager was represented by David Godfrey. The boy spoke to confirm his name and later to say that he understood the arrangements for the future timetable of the case. He was further remanded in custody.
Five other teenagers were arrested in a wooded area near North Ferriby, police reported at the time of the incident. Three boys, aged 17, 16 and 15, and two girls, aged 15 and 14, were later released on bail.
